Testimonials
Lisa Coates
IB PYP Co ordinator, Mount Eliza North PS.Being a mum and a teacher makes Lorraine’s time with the students an organised, relaxed, enjoyable experience for both students and supervising teacher. Lorraine’s enthusiasm and energy while working with students were rewarded by students grappling to select the “gemstone” words to colour their poetry.
John Jones, Manager, Eaglehawk Focus Centre
An inspirational series of lessons. Your ability to challenge the boundaries of the students' creativity within the scaffolding framework of a defined structure and form has generated some outstanding work. I have also enjoyed using some of your models with other students to generate what I consider to be some pretty good work - thankyou.
Li Gin, Librarian, Sydney Grammar School Edgecliff Preparatory School.
We
had a fantastic seven days of workshops. As I look over the boys' work,
I am continually amazed by their imaginative responses and the quality
of their writing. You touched the poetic chord in many of them and some
of the poems do sing! Of course this was not done without a huge amount
of work from you.
The boys responded to your boundless energy in the classes and the teachers really appreciated your generosity in sharing ideas. For the entire school (K-Yr 6), you made poetry accessible, real and essential. We're now on our way to an anthology of the boys' poems, but in the long term, we have boys reading their own poetry at assembly, the Headmaster himself reading a poem each week, poetry readings at Open Day, poetry books in the classroom and more poetry than ever in the Library.
We thank you for all this! '
